One of our first brand partnerships since inception has been with Sugar Cane and Co., a brand by parent company Toyo Enterprise that is known for their selvedge denim produced in Japan. Jeans are certainly a staple of anyone's wardrobe due to their versatility and general ubiquity, so for this reason we spent a significant amount of time and careful consideration on what we wanted to sell at the shop. We landed on Sugar Cane because of their heritage, quality and value.

The Okinawa jeans from Sugar Cane are undoubtedly a best-seller. The denim is woven with original yarns blended with 50% cotton and 50% sugar cane fiber. Ryuku-Ai indigo from Okinawa and regular indigo are combined and resulted in the dark, reddish blue denim. The patch is made of python leather, and the logo is painted in lacquer. The silhouette is regular straight, similar to the 1947 model.

We also offer other styles from Sugar Cane which are period correct reproductions of vintage jeans, such as the Sugar Cane 1966 jeans. As their name suggests, this style is modelled after the 1966 501 from Levi's and the fit and details are true to the original. Like all Sugar Cane jeans at The Foxhole, these are rinsed to do away with some of the issues typically associated with buying unsanforized jeans. Despite their vintage nature they are a timeless style and are well suited to anyone looking for a slightly roomier, high rise fit with a straight leg. 

Breaking in a pair of jeans is not a task suited to everyone. For those who prefer to buy their jeans pre-distressed, we also have a newer style from Sugar Cane which is the Lot 877 jeans. The fit is the most contemporary we offer with a slim, tapered leg and cropped inseam but these have just the right amount of vintage detailing from the distressed paper patch to the hidden rivets and selvedge denim fabric.
