It's no secret, we're huge fans of everything that Needles has to offer. Although FW21 was our first season carrying Needles in the shop, we've been fans of the brand for some time and Keizo Shimizu’s eclectic but somehow seamless reference points always make for awesome collections. Having said that, this Spring/Summer season is particularly strong with some major hits.
We knew as soon as we saw the lace Cabana shirt that this was a must-have piece. Inspired by Guayabera, or Cuban wedding shirts, the intricate lace fabric with a tonal stripe pattern is not only incredibly unique but will also keep you cool in the Summer. A slightly more subdued shirt, but a staple piece nonetheless, is the short sleeve work shirt. It's cut from a smooth polyester with button-closure chest pockets and features the perfect subtle branding in the form of Needles’ papillon logo embroidered in a contrasting purple. The knit polo is yet another excellent lightweight top, and the sky blue colour will match perfectly with a pair of white bottoms. Another impressive item is the basketball shorts in a cupra blend leopard jacquard. We love them for the bold pattern, lightweight fabric and the full cut that hits right at the knee. Last but not least, we have the track hoodie and narrow track pants cut from a luxuriously comfortable velour fabric in light grey with purple contrast. Wear them as separates or as a suit, but act fast because they won't be around for long.
