If anyone out there has been spending time contemplating their spring and summer wardrobes and trying to figure out what kind of new styles they will incorporate into their warm weather looks, today is your lucky day. Not only have we been getting great weather for an early spring so far, which is always enthusiastically welcomed by Ottawa residents, but we also received some super exciting new pieces as part of the Needles SS24 collection. We are to proud to say we are exclusive stockists here in Ottawa, and we work hard to bring in all kinds of unique shirts, shorts, pants and accessories from Japanese brand Needles to the city. With that said, let's get into what we received. One of our favourite pieces this season is the penny jean jacket in 16w corduroy foil print. This is a cream coloured corduroy jean-style jacket which has a shimmery gold foil print applied on top. The combination of the classic cropped trucker jacket silhouette, which is one of the most essential light jackets you can get, with the corduroy fabric and foil print bring make it an exceptionally eye-catching style that adds just the right amount of flair to a staple design. For shirting, we received the regular collar EDW shirt in a light blue linen canvas. This shirt has a generous cut and features an interesting 3 button placket with a fabric loop closure on the last button. We also received new Rebuild by Needles flannels, in the 7 cuts zipped wide format. If the regular 7 cut flannels weren't funky enough for you, these ones dial things up a bit by adding two-way zippers to the panels, making this a fully modular shirt. Leave the zips done up, keep them open for extra air circulation, or zip off the sleeves to make it a short sleeve shirt. Finally, we brought back the cabana shirt in a bold check pattern. The cabana shirt is one of our favourite short sleeve shirt options with a relaxed open collar and drop patch pockets. The fabric of this shirt is so great that we ordered the matching H.D.P. shorts, which are a brand new style this season. They are basically the short version of the famous H.D. pants that incorporate a darted waist and hem to create a very wide balloon silhouette. We couldn't order the H.D.P. shorts and not give some love to the pants as well, therefore we received two new styles of H.D. pants. The first style is the H.D. jeans in indigo denim with distressing throughout. The second style is the H.D. track pants in royal blue polyester with white trim. If all of that wasn't enough to get excited about, we also have two new short sleeve tees from Needles. The first style features a yellow and light blue stripe pattern with a pocket on the sleeve and papillon embroidery, and the second is a yellow and navy papillon jacquard print with a contrast collar and chest pocket.
