Engineered Garments SS24 Collection
To be perfectly frank, this Engineered Garments delivery has some of the best patterns we've seen in a while. The spring and summer seasons are always the perfect time to wear colourful and fun patterns, and it seems like EG really dialed into that vibe with this collection. Leopard print is a pattern that will always be cool no matter what garment it's found on, so it was no hesitation to grab the wind breaker in the leopard print nylon. As far as spring jackets go, this thing takes the cake. It's a lightweight weatherproof nylon shell with snap closure, removable hood and collar with a throat tab. If leopard print is not your thing, we received the classic shirt in a black lightweight cotton with a multicolour floral lawn print. It's a long sleeve camp collar shirt with a straight hem, and the green, yellow, purple, orange and blue flowers and foliage really pop against the dark canvas. This season, EG did a version of their famous fatigue shorts in a multicolour triangle corduroy patchwork that compliment the army-inspired shorts perfectly. Pair them with a more subdued top in olive green or grey with some white sneakers and let the shorts speak for themselves. We brought in the over pants once again this season in a lightweight olive green ripstop nylon. The over pants have a really great relaxed fit with pleated knees and are quickly becoming one of our favourite styles of pants to wear. One of the new styles of the season that we selected is the ivy blazer, which is a tailored jacket with a 3 roll 2 button configuration, patch pockets and a centre vent. We ordered it in the cotton/poly waffle fabric in dark brown which is a beautiful lightweight fabric with a unique texture. The ivy blazer forms a suit when worn with the matching carlyle pants, a single pleat trouser with a relaxed fit and tapered leg opening.
