Engineered Garments FW23 Collection
Our first new arrivals of the season are here… coming at you directly from New York, we have the first delivery from Engineered Garments FW23. The star of the show this time around is a beautiful varsity jacket produced in collaboration with Albion, a heritage brand known for their jackets made meticulously in Los Angeles. This piece features an olive green melton wool body, contrasting cream leather sleeves and piping at the pockets and light brown acrylic ribbed shawl collar, sleeves and hem as well as tonal snap buttons and quilted lining. In typical EG fashion, they were thinking a few moves ahead, and they included a zipper opening at the base of the lining to allow the owner to customize the back of the jacket with an embroidery without having to remove the lining. That’s what we call engineering! All things considered, this jacket is the type of piece that will become an heirloom and will seriously never go out of style. Next up, we have the Bedford in a very seasonally appropriate black cotton moleskin. With the weight of this fabric and the warmth it provides, this iteration of the Bedford could easily pass as a light jacket in the fall months. A couple of new styles are represented in the form of the trail shirt and RF jeans. The trail shirt comes in a lightweight khaki poplin and is a very utilitarian piece with more pockets than you can imagine, metal loops, extendable collar and back yoke. The style is reminiscent of fishing shirts but with a slightly elevated look. The RF jeans are the perfect loose fit 5 pocket jeans in a highly versatile dark indigo denim. EG really nailed the fit and fabric on these. Additionally, we brought back the FA pants this season in a robust 4.5 wale corduroy. If you are a fan of EG, you probably know and love the FA pants and who doesn’t need another pair of corduroy pants this winter season? Lastly, we received the classic EG bucket hat in a fuzzy polyester “wool.” Some might say bucket hats are only for the warm days, but we strongly disagree and once you check this one out we’re pretty sure you’ll change your mind as well.
