Engineered Garments FW20 Collection

We’re very excited to welcome to the shop Engineered Garments, a brand we’ve admired for many years. Their Fall/Winter collection is inspired by modern jazz, particularly the style of Miles Davis in the 1980s. Established in 1999 by Daiki Suzuki, their entire collection is manufactured in the garment district in New York City, where their parent store "Nepenthes" is also located.

We admire Engineered Garments for their mix of tailoring and workwear, so naturally we had to bring in their iconic Bedford jacket in 8 wale corduroy. In the same spirit, we also selected the NB jacket in gunclub check, which is an updated version of the Bedford jacket and is slimmer fitting. Another standout item for us was the Driver jacket in olive nylon, a truly unique piece of outerwear.

As far as shirting, we brought in a couple of styles of the work shirts, which is a quintessential style from Engineered Garments in our opinions. The work shirt is available in a khaki brushed cotton flannel as well as a plaid cotton twill. The mock turtle is a great option for layering, it can be worn under pretty much any jacket or on its own. It is also exceptionally comfortable and guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser.

Engineered Garments are also well-known for their military pants, so we couldn't pass up on the Fatigue pants cut from olive nylon. Additionally, we selected the corduroy painter pants, a versatile option with plenty of pockets and other details. Finally, on the dressier side, we went with the classic Andover pants in wool herringbone for something that can be dressed up or down depending on your mood.
