As we move deeper into the month of November, we should all getting prepared for shorter days and cooler temperatures. Living in Ottawa, it’s essential to know how to layer in order to be able to stay warm and look good at the same time. For this winter editorial, we’re focusing on layered looks, military inspired pieces, heavy outerwear and warm fabrics and what better way to do so than with styles from Engineered Garments, Needles and Andersen-Andersen. For a leisurely walk through the popular Strathcona park located in Sandy Hill, we styled a tweed blazer and a patchwork flannel shirt with moleskin fatigue trousers. We topped it off with a hooded cargo vest for some extra storage and protection, all from Engineered Garments. Over on the Quebec side, while cruising down Rue Eddy we chose the Moto jacket from Engineered Garments done in heavyweight cotton ripstop, worn over the super warm wool turtleneck from Andersen-Andersen. On the legs, we opted for the olive green H.D. BDU pants from Needles, our widest pants to compliment this relaxed silhouette.
