The utility coat made of herringbone twill, adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1944. It features large capacity pockets on both chests, extending from the shoulders to the chest, and an additional flap-covered patch pocket on the left chest, providing functional utility. The sleeves are single-layered, with minimal details, requiring adjustment with a single iron button at the cuff. The front closure has a gas flap on the inside to prevent gas infiltration, and the buttons on the collar are for attaching and detaching gas defense hoods.
