During World War II, undershirts were included in the US military's issued uniforms, and were subdivided into sleeveless summer tank tops, long-sleeved winter versions made of a wool and cotton blend, and versatile short-sleeved cotton versions. As daily wear, undershirts required both comfort and the ability to withstand frequent washing. This undershirt is softly knitted using 20-count combed yarn, and double-needle stitching is used from the shoulders to the sleeves and hem to ensure comfort and durability. The retro packaging evokes the original government-issued items.
