We've been carrying Engineered Garments for several years now and they never fail to keep things interesting. Each time we get a delivery of new pieces from EG, it's hard to contain our excitement, and choosing a favourite item is near impossible. With that said, the SS23 collection from Engineered Garments brings a solid mix of stalwart items, new styles and as always, beautifully unsuspecting fabrics which compliment the silhouettes they're applied to impeccably. Every season we try to order at least one matching set from EG, lending an additional value to the pieces as they present a plethora of styling options whether they're worn together or as separates. This season we brought in a very casual "suit" which is comprised of the bedford jacket and FA pant in the olive cotton ripstop fabric. Both styles happen to be fan favourites, with the bedford jacket being represented in pretty much every collection from EG we've had in the shop. The FA pant are slightly newer to the brand and the shop as well, but we're pretty sure they will be a hit. Based on French Army pants, they're a maximalist take on the vintage style featuring a multitude of pockets, darted knees and drawstring waist/hem. As for shirts, we selected a camp shirt, which is a short sleeve open-collar style produced from a stunning patchwork fabric, as well as the 19 century BD shirt in blue cotton chambray, an item that is a true classic and can be paired with pretty much any outfit. Moving on, one of the most eye-catching styles we have is the sunset shorts in green poly microfiber. These shorts are inspired by vintage rugby shorts and feature a pleated front as well as a tab waist and drawstring waist adjustment. The fabric is a lightweight polyester with an abstract floral print in bright green with hints of pink and purple. Additionally, we brought in the basque shirt, a lightweight long sleeve boatneck tee with green and yellow horizontal stripes, as well as the iconic bucket hat in olive cotton ripstop with floral pattern.
